Comments
When a visitor leaves a comment, we collect the data visible in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser signature to help detect spam.
An anonymous string created from your email address (the so-called hash) can be sent to the Gravatar service to verify that you are using it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. When you approve a comment, your profile picture is publicly visible in the context of your comment.
